Steve Bannon's departure from Trump's administration as White House Chief Strategist has the Liberal Media Pundits spinning, as the news of his exit took over the headlines on Friday. Even though Bannon had previously said his tenure at the White House might be a year, at best, some of the Media Pundits are expressing views for the controversial Trump confidant's exit as a victory for the left.
The once moderate website-turned all-out-left, The Hill boasted the headline: Bannon: "The Trump presidency is 'over' ", but, the narrative from the Hill is far from being journalistically correct.
A more honest assessment of Bannon's departure came from Bloomberg: "Bannon Says He’s ‘Going to War for Trump’ After White House Exit"
"Ousted White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon returned to the conservative Breitbart News website on Friday and said he’ll be “going to war” for President Donald Trump, vowing to intensify the fight he has waged against opponents of his brand of populist conservatism.
“If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents--on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America,” Bannon told Bloomberg News Friday in his first public comments after his departure was announced." (emphasis mine)
The Trump-Haters and the Bannon-Haters can, and will spin their tripe as expected, but it should be clear to Trump supporters---Steve Bannon will return to Breitbart with the gloves off, and with his private opinions no longer restricted by White House protocol. The #WAR has just begun.
And, the Liberal Media Pundits just got an adversarial opponent they can no longer shut-up because of Bannon's restrictions inside the White House. Perhaps the proper headline should be: "Vicious Bear Released from Captivity After Restricted Diet---Fear Mounting that the Bruin Might Resume Consumption of Liberal Journalist"
